Dike owes her name to the Greek goddess of the same name. With her fair nature, she conscientiously stands up for justice as the only female in the pack of bronze dogs.
Craftsmanship and attention to detail
Dike and the other members of the pack, Pontos and Diodor, are available in a limited edition of 24 each and were designed exclusively for Garpa. The Hamburg-based sculptor Irina Wege first modelled the lively trio in wax before casting the sculptures in bronze, filing, chasing and colouring them. The result is a canine trio of three individual characters whose different features are skilfully embodied in their faces and postures. Together they form a pack that seeks the company of humans and revels in their attention.
